Who Is 4ThePlayer?
4ThePlayer was founded in London in July 2018 by industry veterans including Andrew Porter and Chris Ash, the latter having previously founded Ash Gaming (acquired by Playtech in 2011). The studio holds a UK Gambling Commission licence. Rather than being owned by a larger studio, 4ThePlayer remains independently run, distributing its content through Yggdrasil's YG Masters technology-licensing programme and Relax Gaming's Silver Bullet partner network.
What Makes 4ThePlayer Distinctive
4ThePlayer positions itself as a boutique, player-focused studio prioritising quality and mathematical design over release volume, a stance recognised with industry awards including an EGR innovation prize. Rather than one flagship studio-wide mechanic, its distinctiveness shows up at the level of individual game features built around clear, high-multiplier bonus structures.
Notable Titles
The Fantastic Fish series, including Fantastic Fish GigaBlox, uses Yggdrasil's licensed GigaBlox mechanic within 4ThePlayer's own theming and design. The Yeti series (9k Yeti, 1K Yeti) is another of the studio's recurring original franchises.
